Community Amenities

In the mid-1970s, Cary embarked on the concept of self-directed neighborhoods with restrictive covenants and formal homeowners’ associations providing neighborhood amenities and basic neighborhood oversight.

Open Fields

There are two large, grassy fields for use by Kildaire Farms I residents. One field is next to the Kildaire Farms Racquet and Swim Club, adjacent to Pebble Creek. The other field is located across from Farmington Woods Elementary School. Both fields may be used without reservation. From time to time, the fields are rented to athletic clubs for practice and games. No facilities are provided in either field.

Greenway and Trail System

The HOA maintains an extensive greenway and trail system. Walking, cycling and other outdoor activities are enjoyed by many residents on this private trail network. Access to these trails is considered one of the greatest benefits of living in Kildaire Farms I.

Social Events

Annual Meeting

All homeowners are invited to attend the annual meeting of the Kildaire Farms I Homeowners Association. The meeting covers an overview of the yearly business conducted by the board of directors with presentations by the Architectural Review Committee and the Parks and Greenways Committee. By attending you’ll have a better understanding of the scope and depth of activities that are conducted yearly on behalf of the 1,100+ homes in our homeowner’s association.

Community Picnic

The community organizes a picnic for all residents. The picnic is usually in the fall, around the first few weeks of October. We grill hamburgers, veggie burgers, and hotdogs. Residents bring a side dish, their drinks, and a camp chair. Read more at http://kfpicnic.com.

Boat/Storage Yard

The community maintains a secured storage yard for boats, trailers, and recreational vehicles owned by residents. The storage of such items on personal residences is prohibited by the community covenants. The boatyard offers a limited amount of spaces. You can request a space by using the Town Square web and mobile applications or contact Associa by phone 919-787-9000. If space is not available, you may secure a spot on the waitlist. The waitlist is handled first-come, first-serve.
